Valdepeñas is a town with a lot of history and traditions, but it’s also modern. And we have got very interesting celebrations. For example, every year we celebrate the “Fiestas del Vino” for fifty years more or less, young people really like it and there are a lot of things to do. This time is when there are more visitors. In September, there is also an important art exhibition. You can see pictures and sculptures by many famous Spanish and foreigner artists and new trends. Here, in Valdepeñas there are good musicians, but we (Javier, Alberto and Néstor) prefer others, as Slash, Gun ‘N’ Roses, it’s a great group. Our fovorit song is Welcome To The Jungle.
En Valdepeñas se dedica una semana del mes de mayo (normalmente a principio de mes) para la música. A este evento se le llama: Semana de la Música o “SEMUVA” .
Mañana se disputa en el campo de fútbol de la Molineta el partido de categoría cadete (15 a 16 años) entre Valdepeñas y Santa Cruz de Mudela en el que se presupone una victoria fácil para nuestro pueblo. El partido se disputará a las 9 y media de la mañana y por lo tanto no se espera que vaya una gran masa de aficionados a ver el partido.

Now, It´s Christmas !! At Christmas, people sing a lot of carol, when it snows people do a Snowman and do a snow-combat. In our houses, we put and decorate the Christmas tree and put up the crib, and we also decorate with Christmas Lights our houses and the streets . The 24th night, Santa Claus enter in the chimney and put presents under the Christmas tree, he put a lot of toys!! Later the 31st December it’s the New Years’Eve and we eat the twelve grapes at 0:00 o´clock!! I´m never eat the grapes because I don´t like it! Then, the Three Wise Men come to my town and they put a lot of presents in our houses. In this days we eat shortbread and stay in front of the Fireplace and we also eat a lot of candies but we aren´t put the Mistletoe … I like Christmas . By Hector Lujan

Christmas is a very special time for me; it’s one of my favourite celebrations. I like being with my family at home and put up a crib because we celebrate Jesus’ birth. At Christmas, streets are very beautiful with Christmas lights and trees. You also can listen carols all the time. Children are very happy because they receive presents from the Three Wise Men and some times toys from Santa Claus too. It’s fantastic when you are near the fireplace and you see the snow and people doing snowmen. I prefer Spanish traditions than English traditions, for example I like Christmas sweets like shortbreads or the twelve grapes on 31st December. Then we celebrate New Year with candies and parties. And the students haven’t got school, so it’s perfect!

We are near Christmas, and we do a lot of thing, for example: We sometimes sing carols near of the fireplace, we eat a lot of candies, but we don’t put mistletoe nor stocking. We know that Santa Claus isn’t real, but we think that he go down in the chimney, and he give us presents and toys. If it snow we do snowmen. We put a Christmas tree and crib, three wise men also give us presents. At the New Year’s Eve we eat shortbread and at twelve o’clock the twelve grapes.

On the Christmas Day I sing Carols and y eat Candies.
I celebrate with my family this day,we put up a stocking in teh Chimney and we wait twelfth night impatient. We put up the Presents in the Christmas tree.On new year`s eve we have dinner with my family and we after wards go to parties with our friends.

Hello, we are Alejandro and Alfonso.
We are waiting Christmas because we want a lot of presents and we want met with the family for eat the twelve grapes. Also, we make snowman when it's snowing and we play with the snow. At Christmas Day, we eat a lot of candies and sing carols.
The people usually decorate the Christmas tree with Christmas lights. The children wait to Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men because they want to have a lot of toys. And the people usually put the crib in the house and the mistletoe on the door.
