Describing Sevilla by Raquel Moreno Tenorio 1º BACH T

Sevilla is a city that is situated in Andalucia, in the south of Spain. It is famous because it has many monuments, like the Giralda, the Cathedral, the Gold Tower, the Palace and the Indians File. Because of that, the city receives a lot of national and international tourism. In Sevilla, there is an important river, the Guadalquivir, that it`s navigable. In 1992 the Universal Exhibition was celebrated there.

Now, there are important projects that has generated controversy between the citizens, like the Cajasol Tower, the Encarnación Parasol Metropol, Sevilla`s meter, the project of the Delights Port and the Aquarius New World. Sevilla has one of the best universities campus of Spain.
I have chosen this city because it is one of my favourites. I love the monuments, the people and the climate. Its a good place where live.

In the foreground, we can see the flags yard. On the left, there are a street light. Further, there are many trees and cars.

In the background, we can see the most famous monument of Sevilla, the Giralda. It was built in 1184 by order of Abu Yaqub Yusuf. It is considerated like the Hasan´s Tower sister, in Rabat.
The statue was installed in 1568.
